Apple iOS 9.3: Company Working on Fix for Link Issue Affecting Some Users

Some users have reported links don't work after update.

Some users have reported that when they click links in Safari and various third-party apps, it causes the screen to lock and renders Web browsing useless. The issue may stem from the Universal Links feature introduced in iOS 9, according to reports. Universal links allow a mobile users to click a link and be directed to the relevant app they have on their device instead of being taken to the web-based page.

"We are aware of this issue, and we will release a fix in a software update soon," an Apple representative told ABC News today in an email.

Released last week, Apple's iOS 9.3 comes packed with updates -- including a feature called night Shift. Using a device's clock and geolocation, Night Shift will gradually shift the colors in a user's display to the warmer end of the spectrum as bedtime approaches -- which may help promote better sleep in some users, according to Apple.

Another standout feature: Apple is now making it even more secure by giving users the option to add a password or TouchID access to the Notes app. The app will also allow people to sort their notes by date created, date modified or alphabetically, providing another layer of organization.
