Facebook Live Video Will Let Users Share Experiences in Real-Time

Facebook is testing a live video feature for some iPhone users in the U.S. that will allow them to broadcast whatever they're doing to friends and family on the social network. That means users can expect to see plenty of parties, vacations or moments with a friend's new baby.
The expansion of live streaming to the masses on Facebook comes a few months after Facebook introduced live streaming on the site for celebrities and high-profile users.
"Live lets you show the people you care about what you’re seeing in real time — whether you’re visiting a new place, cooking your favorite recipe, or just want to share some thoughts," a blog post today announcing the new feature said. "No matter where you are, Live lets you bring your friends and family right next to you to experience what’s happening together."
Want to see if you have the update? Tap "update status" and then look for a live video icon. From there, users can write a quick blurb about their broadcast, choose an audience and then go live. As users broadcast, they'll be able to see which friends are watching and get a live stream of their comments.
When it's all done, they can close the broadcast and a video of it will be saved to their timeline.
