Google Chrome Remote Desktop Launches on iOS
How to take control of your desktop from your Apple device.
-- Google made its Chrome Remote Desktop app available this week to iOS users, allowing them to access their desktops from anywhere by simply using an iPhone or iPad.
The technology was first made available to Android users last year and has already shown its value, from allowing users to grab a work file when they're at home or granting a friend temporary access to help troubleshoot a device.
One reviewer even pointed out that the app can be used for controlling Netflix from bed.
To try it out, install Chrome Remote Desktop on the device you'd like to remotely access. Next, download the partnering iOS app from Apple's app store.
Google released an Android version of the app last year. Microsoft also has an app with a similar capability that works on Windows devices.
