Guess How Often the Average iPhone User Unlocks Their Device Per Day
Number shows just how attached many people are to their phones.
-- Here's a number that shows how attached we are to our smartphones:
The average iPhone user unlocks their device 80 times per day, according to a report from analyst Ben Bajarin, who said he participated in a conference call on Friday detailing iOS security features. An Apple representative confirmed the figure to ABC News.
Of those who have a device offering Touch ID, Bajarin wrote that 89 percent of users enabled the security feature, which can be a way to save time from entering a passcode. Considering a 15 hour day, from the time a person wakes up and goes to bed, that works out to checking your phone every 11 minutes and 15 seconds.
