Ask the Author: Imponderables

— -- Author David Feldman is out with his 10th book of imponderables, "Do Elephants Jump," where he answers those little questions about modern life that you can't seem to get answered. He recently appeared on ABC News Now and tackled topics including:

Why do teddy bears wear a frown?

He says their faces look neutral so that children can project their own feelings onto the bear.

Do elephants jump?

He says they don't -- they're too heavy -- but they can run.

What are the black specks you see on corn and tortilla chips?

Feldman says that the part of the corn that holds the kernel on the cob turns black as the corn is ground to make the chips.
