Tinted Sheen Blocks Charlie Sheen Online

If you're suffering from Charlie Sheen fatigue, a new Web browser plug-in -- Tinted Sheen -- has come along to erase the actor from your online life.

Plug-In Blocks Actor's Name, Images, Catch Phrases

Launched Tuesday by New York developer Greg Leuch, Tinted Sheen works on Firefox and Chrome browsers, blocking out Sheen's name, picture and a few select catch phrases from the Web. It has been downloaded more than 9,000 times.

"Sorry Charlie, but it is time to leave the Internet and go back to your porn family. Let this be the hangover cure for the #winning buzz from which everyone is still recovering," Leuch wrote in an description of his plug-in.

Leuch, who works for the viral-monitoring website Buzzfeed, said it wasn't one Sheen antic in particular but the totality of the media frenzy that inspired him to create an application to scrub Sheen from the screen.

"The manner in which the hype is being milked by him for internships, Twitter, ad promos, famo, etc., together with hearing people lament about not having to care about him, is what fueled my hour hack session to get this built late Monday evening," he told ABCNews.com in an e-mail.

Sheen App Adapted From Similar App for Justin Bieber Web Mentions

When the app first launched, it blocked out Sheen's name and picture, but Leuch said he updated the plug-in to detect #winning, #tigerblood, "adonis dna" and "porn family."

The plug-in was adapted from Shaved Bieber, an earlier Leuch application that blocked mentions of Justin Bieber on the Web.
