9-9-09 does a number on Las Vegas, Atlantic City deals

— -- Matching month-day-year dates inspire promos in gaming destinations, and 2009 — when dealmeisters are rolling the dice every which way to bring in business — is no exception.

Though not as catchy as lucky 7-7-07, next Wednesday's 9-9-09 is an auspicious day for a travel bargain. A sampling:

•In Atlantic City, the luxe Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (866-692-6742; theborgata.com) is offering $99 room rates ($112.86 with tax) Sunday-Thursday through Sept. 30, depending on availability. On the 9th, those with My Borgata Cards can win $999 in bonus slot dollars. Also, $99 massages and other spa treatments will be offered weekdays Sept. 7-30.

•In Las Vegas, the La Bella Wedding Chapel (866-945-5933; labellaweddingchapel.com) at the Las Vegas Hilton is selling a $99 wedding special on Wednesday, including ceremony and photo. The chapel even will supply a witness, gratis, if needed.
