Mile-High Celebrity Tweets: Kim Kardashian, Mariah Carey and Ludacris.

March 15, 2010— -- With wireless Internet now available on many flights, it seems like everybody from businessmen to vacationers is logging on. But none have been more public than celebrities -- who all seem to go straight to Twitter and express their thoughts about, well, everything while high in the skies.

Probably the most mile-high Tweet happened last month when reality TV star Kim Kardashian decided to weigh in on the profession of her neighbor.

"I'm on the airplane...love wifi! I am sitting next to an Air Marshall [sic]! Jim the air marshall [sic] makes me feel safe!" Kardashian wrote on her Twitter feed.

Kardashian has more than 3 million followers on Twitter and many of them wondered how she knew the air marshal's identity.

"Air Marshall's [sic] are supposed to keep their identity concealed. He did! I am just a private eye & assumed, so I asked him & he was honest!" Kardashian explained, adding: "OK I hope I don't get in trouble."

Olympic speed skater and "Dancing With the Stars," well, star, Apolo Ohno told the world about a little girl serenading him on the plane. "touching..wow. That's never happened," Ohno tweeted from his flight.

Other famous users include Lauren Conrad and Jimmy Fallon, who have an "elite access" pass from Wi-Fi provider Gogo that gives them unlimited access for a year on American, Delta, United, US Airways, AirTran, Air Canada and Virgin America, according to a company spokeswoman.

Dr. Drew, Ludacris, Perez Hilton All Tweet

Other celebrity users, according to Gogo, include Mick Jagger, Mariah Carey, Dr. Drew Pinsky and Ludacris.

Last month, director Kevin Smith was thrown off a Southwest airlines flight because he was too fat to fit in just one seat. He took out his frustration in a long Twitter rant, although it was not one posted while he was in the air.

"I broke no regulation, offered no 'safety risk' (what, was I gonna roll on a fellow passenger?). I was wrongly ejected from the flight," Smith wrote.

Sometimes celebrities like to Tweet about other famous folks on their flight.

Perez Hilton last month wrote that everybody was on his flight to Las Vegas including Neil Patrick Harris.

"We better not go down! Ha," Hilton wrote.

A lot of people like to tell the world where they are heading. That included Miley Cyrus a few weeks ago when she appeared on "Good Morning America."

"goin to NY 4 GMA and other cool stuff! :) right now snuggle time with branderz on the plane!" she wrote.

Adrian Grenier apparently had a bit of a bumpy flight last month and wrote: "Turbulence, peanuts and WiFi @ 30,000 feet above Norfolk VA - What'll they think of next?"

Zach Braff Loves Nerds

Zach Braff was flying from New York to Los Angeles in June and decided to update his Facebook status. "In-flight internet is a super dope invention," he wrote. "Thank God for Nerds. Listening to Crash Kings song 'My Love' and eating warm nuts. Yes.. I just said warm nuts."

E! celebrity news host Giuliana Rancic likes the Internet access because "I can take my mind off my fear of flying and tweet!"

And finally, there are just some disgusting things that one wishes weren't shared. Singer JoJo felt it necessary last month to Tweet: "I just need 2 understand why the woman next to me felt it appropriate 2 unleash no less than a dozen rancid raunchy farts on this airplane."

Thanks. We guess there are even some things that Wi-Fi can't help with.
