Feb. 25, 2014— -- If you've ever lusted after the Twitter feed for San Francisco-based ice cream parlor Humphry Slocumbe and lamented not living in the Golden City, prepare to rejoice: A recent revamp to Virgin America's First Class in-flight menu is bringing the luscious scoops to long-haul flights between San Francisco and Los Angeles to Newark, New York, Boston and Washington, D.C.
Before the new menu officially debuts on March 4, fans can even vote on which custom flavor they'd like to see featured beside Tahitian Vanilla by tweeting one of three choices at the airline until February 28.
In the running are #ButterByMoodlight, a creamy combination of brown butter and blueberry glaze; #RedHotBanana, combining buttery banana cream with sweet cinnamon spice from mashed Red Hot candies; and #CoconutBlondAmbition, "a nod to Virgin Group’s inimitable founder Sir Richard Branson," according to an airline representative. In the concoction "Humphry Slocombe’s signature vanilla marshmallow fluff mingles with lemon citrus sorbet and a creamy coconut finish."
