What's New on the 'New' Disney Dream

Five enhancements made to the popular ship.

— -- The Dream, the third ship in Disney’s four-ship fleet, debuted in January 2011. It has since received many accolades, including the award for “best large ship” in the 2015 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards.

5 new things about the Disney Dream

In the Oceaneer Club (kids club for 3 to 12 year olds), board the Millennium Falcon and take a seat in the cockpit through battle scenes and outer space. There’re “Star Wars” apps and games, plus programming designed around the “Star Wars” theme. Counselors read from a story book while kids get to act out the movie scenes, and there are arts and crafts with the theme.

Though the Oceaneer Club is generally for kids only, there are “open house” hours for adult “Star Wars” enthusiasts to enjoy the fun, too.

Vanellope’s

An only-found-on-the-Dream addition to the ship is the sweet shop Vanellope’s, a nod to the movie “Wreck-It Ralph.” If the ship’s free soft-serve isn’t enough, Vanellope's serves up fresh-made ice cream and gelato, plus a plethora of candy.

Juice Bar

It’s certainly not the most dramatic upgrade on the ship, but the addition of a healthy juice bar to the Six Senses Spa is a hit with the health conscious looking to start the day off with a free pressed juice or smoothie.
