Some DNC Delegates Get Lower-Ranked Hotels

Sept. 5, 2012— -- intro: We brought you the top-ranked Charlotte hotels for the 2012 Democratic National Convention; now it's time for the flip side. We teamed up with TripAdvisor, the world's largest hotel review site, to get the customer rankings of hotels the Democratic delegates from each state are calling home this week. Based on reviews and rankings, certain states drew the short straw when it came to hotel assignments.

"Mold growing in tub and around soap dish," wrote one reviewer. "Bring some bleaching wipes if you're gonna [sic] stay here." Still, it wasn't all bad. Though one reviewer complained that "Wi-Fi worked one out of every five times" and another that "the room temp was over 90 degrees," there is some good news about the hotel. "Clean, good furniture, quiet--great rate, " said one review, while another summed it up: "This isn't a top end hotel, but it isn't trying to be."

While some complaints are minor ("I have never felt such hard towels and wash cloths.") others were more serious ("Dirty, poor service, and hidden fees."). But it wasn't all bad.
