New Hotspots Give Hamptons Extra Shine

Restaurants, bars, boutiques hope to give summer celeb haven extra star power.

May 24, 2008 — -- Seinfeld, Spielberg, Gwyneth, Paris -- oh, and you, too -- can kick back at several new hot spots in the Hamptons on the tip of New York's Long Island this summer. Among the places primed to make their debuts close to Memorial Day:

Grappa, a wine bar in Sag Harbor, from restaurateur Ed Kleefield. Look for tapas and pizzas.

Honey Bar & Lounge, located inside Prime 103 steakhouse in East Hampton. It features a Champagne-heavy wine list and a DJ.

Tutto Il Giorno in Sag Harbor, recently reopened and run by the daughter of designer Donna Karan, who has a shop next door.

Kobe Beach Club in East Hampton, a branch of Jeffrey Chodorow's New York steakhouse.

Alison at the Maidstone Arms, from Alison Price Becker, who has moved her restaurant into new digs in East Hampton.

A revamped Biba boutique in Southampton. The summer-only designer-clothing shop (it travels to other cities in the offseasons) is adding a men's line and new lines for women such as Katrina Grimaldi and Minnie Rose cashmeres.

In addition, Nello Summertimes restaurant in Southampton will stage fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Tom Ford and Graff jewelers.

On second thought, you may not be worthy.
