Traveling with the Stars: Kendra Wilkinson

— -- Four-time Playboy cover girl Kendra Wilkinson, a former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and headliner in The Girls Next Door, stars in her own spinoff series, Kendra, airing Sundays on E! In one of the episodes, she makes a cross-country trip to move fiancé Hank Baskett, a star with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, to California. She shares her travel highlights and tips with USA TODAY.

Q: Where have you been recently that you liked or were surprised by?

A: Germany. I was there for The Girls Next Door. It was a place that I wasn't too thrilled about visiting but once I got there I really loved everything about it, from the food, to the beer to the people, who were wonderful and hospitable. I look forward to visiting again.

Q: What's the best place you've ever visited?

A: Different places have different meanings. I spent my 22nd birthday in St. Tropez. It was amazing and gorgeous. Hef, Holly (Madison) and Bridget (Marquardt) were there with me and we filmed it for The Girls Next Door. We even visited a nude beach! It was so special.

I also went to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, which is equally memorable, but for different reasons. When I went to Cabo, I went with my fiancé Hank Baskett and this was the place where we first exchanged "I love you's." We also recently visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona. We really had no idea that you could actually hike the canyon to the bottom. What a sight and for someone like me who is a hiking enthusiast, this was something I will definitely be returning to!

Q: What's the most surprising/unexpected place you're ever visited?

A: The Poconos! I love it! It's so cheesy and campy but so great. We had a heart-shaped Jacuzzi which was really cool. There were no windows and no clocks so the two of us were literally hibernating and it felt like a real vacation. We felt like we were in a playground for adults because it had everything from an ice skating rink to an adults-only sex trivia game. I was probably the most surprised by it because I had never really heard of it before so everything I experienced was it a surprise and literally a few hours from Hank's home in New Jersey.

Q: What's your favorite vacation spot?

A: My favorite vacation spot will definitely have to be the Bahamas: The Cove at Atlantis. This is my favorite spot because I'm a very active girl and I love it because there are so many things to do ranging from swimming with dolphins, scuba diving, or just relaxing on the beach with a good book. The hotel was amazing and definitely on my list of favorites because everything was so beautiful and peaceful. The staff was especially warm and helpful ... Once I'm there, I never want to leave and return to reality.

Q: Can you offer an insider tip or recommendation for your favorite vacation place?

A: I would definitely recommend people go to Cabo San Lucas. It's an exotic place that can fit any budget and there's plenty to do for any age. From water sports to four-wheeling to parasailing to jet skiing to just sitting by the pool sipping a margarita — there's something for everyone. I love sitting by the beach snacking on tacos, guacamole and chips. Is there anything better? When I'm there, it's heaven!
