On the waterfront: Marlon Brando's eco-resort

— -- Francis Ford Coppola has one. Leonardo DiCaprio is supposed to be getting one. And now Marlon Brando's is under construction.

We're talking celebrity-linked luxury eco-resorts, and given that legendary actor Brando died five years ago, it's not really correct to say he actually has one. But the 47-bungalow development (with spa, private plunge pools and other requisites for the fabulous set) will bear his name.

And his vision — or so say the publicity people. The Brando is being built on the French Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa, which the actor bought in 1965. Richard Bailey, a Brando friend and owner of four InterContinental resorts in the region, is overseeing the project. It's due for completion in late 2011.
