April 11, 2012 -- The average 2012 tax refund is nearly $3,000 according to the IRS. That's about $100 less than last year, but still plenty of money to take a vacation. Here are five vacations under 3k to blow that tax refund. There are countless others, of course, but these should get you dreaming of all the places that refund can take you.
Angkor Wat and Singapore: Eight-Day Trip $1,999
From LivingSocial.com comes this trip for one that includes airfare, ground transportation, guided sightseeing tours and hotel stays. The trip begins in Siem Reap, Cambodia, with three nights at the Tara Angkor Hotel. Explore the ancient city, tour ruins and of course visit the famous temple of Angkor Wat.
