Virgin Atlantic Safety Video Gives Tips a Hollywood Twist
New animated instructional video engages passengers by way of the movies.
March 3, 2014 -- A new airline safety video has given its standard rules and tips the Hollywood treatment -- but not in the way you might think.
Virgin Atlantic's latest animated safety film, which will begin appearing on flights as of March 1, apprises passengers of airline safety as they follow a bearded man traveling through various classic movie genres in which he must use the instructions to protect himself from dangerous car chases and sea monsters alike.
The result is a charming, engaging reminder to buckle up, put away electronics and refrain from lighting a cigarette under any circumstances.
The airline's American counterpart made waves in 2013 when it debuted an equally creative take on the classic airline safety video through song and dance choreography.
