More Than 10 Baby Alligators Stolen From Arkansas Petting Zoo
Caught on camera, the suspects broke into the zoo and grabbed the gators.
— -- Thirteen baby alligators have gone missing from an Arkansas alligator farm, allegedly stolen by two suspects early Saturday morning.
Surveillance video recorded two people wearing camouflage and masks breaking into the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo in Hot Springs, according to ABC affiliate KATV.
They grabbed the baby gators and put them into bags, KATV reported.
Jamie Bridges, the manager of the farm, told KATV that the gators measured 12 inches long and were less than a year old.
"They were like our babies, we treated them like babies, we didn't let anybody handle them, even my workers," he said.
Bridges, who thinks the suspects were familiar with the farm, filed a police report. He expressed concern for the alligators’ welfare, whether he gets them back or not.
"I just hope if they did get them that they take them where somebody will take care of them," he said.
