105-Year-Old Woman Throws First Pitch at Texas Rangers Game

— -- A 105-year-old woman who credits drinking three Dr. Peppers a day with keeping her young got a standing ovation when she threw out the first pitch at the Texas Rangers game last night.

Elizabeth Sullivan, of Forth Worth, Texas, threw the pitch to home plate overhand, something she said girls were not allowed to do when she was in school.

Sullivan, who was born in 1911, described the experience of taking the mound for her beloved Rangers as "wonderful." She also told reporters after the game that she was confident about her pitch.

"You don't get nervous anymore when you're 105," Sullivan told local ABC station WFAA-TV.

Sullivan began watching Rangers games when she retired from teaching and hasn't missed a game in the last 15 years, according to WFAA.
