ABC News Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee Expecting 1st Child
Zee made the announcement today on “GMA.”
-- ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee has hiked in Nepal, glided over the Andes and reported from a volcano in Iceland, but this morning she announced her biggest adventure yet: impending motherhood.
Zee, 34, announced on “Good Morning America” that she and her husband, Ben Aaron, were expecting their first child.
"This is the most nervous I've been in a while," Zee said after making the announcement.
"The forecast for delivery is in December," she said.
Zee grew up in Rockford, Michigan. She married Aaron, a correspondent for NBC, in her home state last June.
Zee said on "GMA" that her new adventure of motherhood has already proven "so emotional."
"All the other adventures promise you will return home," Zee said. "This is like, when you get home, the adventure is there and that's the big difference and why it is so emotional for me."
"I'll do anything but this scares me," she said.
After the announcement on "GMA," Zee tweeted a photo of her sonogram alongside the caption, “We can’t wait! Baby Zee/Aaron is forecast to join us in December. @ben_aaron.”
