American Airlines Flight Attendant Injured During 'Severe' Turbulence
The American Airlines crew member was transported to the hospital.
-- A flight attendant was transported to a hospital in Miami this morning after encountering severe turbulence on an American Airlines jet, the company told ABC News.
American Airlines Flight 1410, carrying 165 people from New York to Miami, encountered severe turbulence at 34,000 feet, near Vero Beach, Florida, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane landed safely around 11:30 a.m.
The Boeing 737's seat belt sign was on at the time, the airline said.
Upon landing, five passengers were evaluated by paramedics and released.
