Body believed to be missing mom's found in Grand Canyon National Park

Officials located a body believed to be that of Sarah Beadle, 38, a mom of two.

Sarah Beadle, 38, of Fort Worth, Texas, went missing on Tuesday. She made reservations to stay with her two children at the Bright Angel Campground in Grand Canyon National Park, but she never arrived.

Beadle was hiking with her kids down the South Kaibab Trail, and park rangers later found her backpack near that trail's junction with the River Trail.

On Wednesday afternoon, search and rescue crews located a body believed to be Beadle's near the Black Bridge at the bottom of Grand Canyon, approximately three-quarters of a mile from Phantom Ranch, park officials said in a press release.

The National Park Service said it is working with the Coconino County Medical Examiner to conduct an investigation.

The National Park Service described Beadle as an "experienced backpacker and hiker" who last hiked the Grand Canyon in 2002.

Anyone who may have seen or talked to Beadle this week is urged to contact the National Park Service's tip line at 888-653-0009.
