Biker Walks Away From Motorcycle-Car Crash
Appeared unharmed after motorcycle-car accident caught on traffic camera.
May 14, 2014 -- Video taken by a Missouri traffic camera shows a motorcyclist slamming into an SUV -- and then, amazingly, standing up after the accident.
The black SUV was making a left turn at an intersection in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, last Friday when the crash happened, police Capt. Clint Reno said.
The motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Britt Hamilton, was wearing a helmet. He collided with the passenger side of the vehicle, bouncing onto the hood and crashing to the ground.
"He wasn't seriously injured. Just minor bruises, a fat lip," Reno said.
The clip shows the man's shoe flying into the air and bystanders rushing to help.
Reno added that the person driving the SUV was a new driver. No charges were filed.
"I think the important lesson learned from this is that we have a lot of motorcyclists on the road right now, and you've got to look out for them," he said.
