Boston Bombing Victim Shares Message Parisians Understand

A 9-year-old victim of the Boston bombing has Paris attacks on her mind.

— -- It is a simple message of peace from a girl who is no stranger to tragedy.

Jane herself lost a leg in the 2013 attack. She took to social media Saturday to share her message of solidarity with the people of France still mourning the slaying of 129 people there last week.

To Paris. With love, from Jane. #NoMoreHurtingPeoplePeace

The colorful illustration, adorned with hearts and Eiffel Towers, reads: "Arretez de faire du mal aux autres. La Paix.” In English, it translates to “Stop hurting others. Peace.”

"Jane came up with the idea for the poster after hearing the devastating news of the Paris attacks," a family representative told ABC News.

Her mother helped her with the translation. Jane’s drawing was posted to Facebook by the Martin Richard Foundation, a charity founded by the Richard family to honor the boy’s memory. It has been shared more than 1,000 times since Saturday.

That same message became a rallying point after the 2013 bombing, which left three dead and more than 260 injured. A photo of Martin, holding a poster with those words of peace, went viral following his death.
