— -- A bus driver has been credited with saving the life of a disabled passenger right before the vehicle he was driving burst into flames.

The Nassau Inter-County Express bus caught fire Thursday on Long Island, New York, while transporting a passenger in a wheelchair and her aide, ABC New York station WABC-TV reported.

The driver was able to safely evacuate the two passengers and no one was injured.
