Computer Glitch Grounds American Airlines Flights in Three Major Cities

— -- American Airlines flights were grounded at Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O’Hare, and Miami this afternoon following a "computer issue," the Federal Aviation Administration said.
American Airlines requested the stop for all traffic coming in and out of those three airports, according to the FAA.
“We’re working to resolve technical issues impacting several airports as quickly as possible,” the company said in statement. “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
The airline later said that it had resolved its “connectivity issues.”
“We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get our customers on their way as soon as possible,” American said in a second statement.
