Country Star George Jones' Headstone Tops Famous Celebrity Graves
Celebrity gravestones continue to draw visitors years after deaths.
Nov. 21, 2013 -- intro: Seven months after country music legend George Jones died at the age of 81, his headstone was unveiled at a cemetery in Nashville.
The monument rivals Jones' legacy in size and stature, featuring a giant stone arch, a guitar, a portrait of Jones, and a dedication, according to ABC News' Nashville affiliate, WKRN.
The gravestone has the words, "He Stopped Loving Her Today," etched across the top in tribute to Jones' most famous single. The stone guitar at the bottom of the monument reads "The Possum," Jones' nickname.
The headstone was unveiled just days ahead of a Nashville tribute show to Jones slated for Friday night and starring Brad Paisley, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Eric Church, WKRN reported.
