Coyote Finds Way Into Myrtle Beach International Airport
A coyote wandered into Myrtle Beach International Airport this morning.
-- A coyote walks into an airport ...
This isn't the set-up of a bad joke, but rather a real occurrence at the Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina this morning.
The coyote found its way into the airport at 10:06 a.m., according to surveillance video released today. It was found at a TSA screening checkpoint.
People were kept at a safe distance from the animal by Horry County Police, according to the airport’s assistant director, Kirk Lovell.
The coyote was captured and removed from the airport by County Animal Control and the Department of Natural Resources approximately 40 minutes after its entrance.
It is unknown whether the animal's behavior was due to it being diseased, Lovell told ABC News. No one was hurt and no flights were affected.
