Early Season Snowstorm Slams Midwest Ahead of Thanksgiving Travel

The storm was the 2nd largest November snowstorm for the Chicago area.

— -- Those living in the Midwest have mounds of snow to dig out of after a major snowstorm slammed the region over the last few days.

Chicago area airports reported up to 400 cancellations on Saturday as some travelers looked to get a head start on Thanksgiving travel.

Behind the storm, frigid air gripped the Midwest on Sunday morning, with wind chill values in the single digits and teens. The cold air was expected to last into Monday morning before a warming trend set in later in the week.
