2 Flight Attendants Injured in Turbulence on American Eagle Flight

The Memphis-bound flight was diverted to Little Rock, Ark.

— -- Two flight attendants were hospitalized with injuries when an American Eagle flight from Dallas/Fort Worth to Memphis today experienced turbulence.

A maintenance team was inspecting the Embraer E175 aircraft, while Envoy Air sent a replacement aircraft to Little Rock, which arrived around at 4:45 p.m. CT.

The seat belt sign was illuminated when the aircraft encountered turbulence, Feinstein said.

A passenger told ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas the turbulence was so bad it flipped a beverage cart, injuring a male flight attendant and tearing a leather seat.

The flight attendant had "multiple cuts" on his face, the passenger said.
