Flight Diverted to Detroit After Passenger Allegedly Attacks Other Passengers
The Shuttle America flight was headed from New York to Chicago.
-- A Shuttle America flight was diverted to Detroit Thursday after a passenger allegedly attacked other passengers and was subdued, a Metro Airports spokesman told ABC News.
Shuttle America flight 3461, operating as United Express, was flying from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Chicago's O'Hare International airport with 69 passengers and four crew members. It landed normally at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, where the unruly passenger, a woman, was met by Metro Airport Police and taken off the plane. She was still in custody as of 1 a.m. ET.
No injuries have been reported, according to the spokesperson. The reason for the alleged attack is still under investigation.
The flight has since departed from Detroit and landed as normal in Chicago.
