Girl, 11, Gives Birth After Rape by Cousin

March 21, 2013 — -- An 11-year-old Houston girl who had been repeatedly raped by her adult cousin gave birth today, authorities said.

The older cousin, Deandre Devon Davis-Williams, 21, has been arrested and charged with the repeated sexual assault of a child. He is being held at the Harris County Jail and today a Houston judge raised his bond from $50,000 to $150,000.

Davis-Williams has not yet been arraigned or entered a plea. The judge will be appointing him an attorney, Sara Marie Kinney of the Harris County District Attorney's Office told ABCNews.com.

Kinney also said that the girl gave birth today. "[The] baby has been born and is doing well," she said.

Over seven months from June 2012 to January 2013, Davis-Williams raped her while the girl's mother was away at work, according to a report filed in Harris County district court. The attacks took place nearly every day, the court papers state.

"She would be left alone .. he was supposed to check on her and make sure she was ok. [Davis-Williams] and his aunt lived in the same complex," Kinney said.

According to the report, Davis-Williams would enter the apartment behind the girl and follow her upstairs. He would then grab her by the hair, pull her to the ground and put her on her back, the report states.

"She would say 'Please stop, it hurts," Kinney said. "He would then tell her to shower afterwards."

The girl never told anyone about the assaults and it wasn't until she was seven months pregnant that officials at her school began to notice and contacted her mother.

"When her mom was brought the information from the school, she freaked out. She asked her daughter what happened, and the mother contacted the cousin," Kinney said.

According to the police report, Davis-Williams sent a text message to the girl asking why she told. He told her that he was going to kill himself. Kinney told ABCNews.com that he also told his mother, the girl's aunt, that he wanted to kill himself.
