Watch O.J. Simpson during pre-civil trial deposition.
-- Editor's Note: This story has been adjusted to correct a previous inaccuracy. We were wrongly under the impression these deposition tapes were exclusive and had not aired before at length. We learned this morning's portions did air 15 years ago. We apologize for the mistake.
During his infamous 1995 murder trial, O.J. Simpson invoked his right against self-incrimination and did not testify.
Though he was found not guilty in the slayings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, he lost a wrongful death suit brought against him by their families in 1997.
For the civil case, Simpson went under oath in a pre-trial deposition. Attorney Daniel Petrocelli, representing Goldman’s father, questioned Simpson for 13 days about his alleged role in the slayings.
On Friday, ABC News’ “20/20” will give viewers a look at the videos, which will be featured in the A&E documentary, “O.J. Speaks: The Hidden Tapes,” which premieres Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET., and the LMN documentary “The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story,” which premieres Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET. (Both A&E and LMN are partly owned by ABC News' parent company, Disney.)
