Man Sought After Bomb Found in Woman's Car at Assisted Living Center

— -- Police in Tennessee were searching for a person of interest today after a bomb was found in an employee's car outside a senior care facility.
An employee at NHC Place Cool Springs, an assisted living facility outside of Nashville, called police this morning when she spotted a suspicious device in her car after leaving her shift, police said. When officers arrived, they identified the device as a possible bomb and immediately began relocating approximately 60 patients of the care facility to other parts of the building, Franklin police said.
Tennessee Highway Patrol and FBI bomb specialists eventually safely detonated the device, police said.
"We are extremely grateful the bomb did not detonate when she opened that car door. If it had, the results would have been tragic –- for her and possibly residents inside this facility," Lt. Charles Warner told ABC affiliate WKRN-TV.
Franklin Police identified Mitchell Hunter Oakes, described as a convicted felon with a violent history and an extensive knowledge of bomb making and weapons, as a person of interest in the case.
Police told ABC affiliate WKRN-TV in Nashville that Oakes had some kind of prior relationship with the woman who they believe was the intended target.
Oakes, described as 6’3”, 240 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, is considered armed and dangerous.
