Mississippi Man Kidnapped from Home, Shoots Attacker Dead: Police
One suspect is at-large after a kidnapping in Jackson, Mississippi.
-- A man in central Mississippi was kidnapped, but later retrieved a gun and shot one of his suspected attackers dead, police said.
The man was outside his home early this morning, putting items into his truck, when two armed men approached him, according to ABC News affiliate WAPT-TV in Jackson.
The alleged kidnappers then forced him back inside to get his wallet and took him to an ATM to withdraw money, Jackson, Mississippi police said.
According to the police, one of the kidnappers threatened to go back to the victim's house and hurt his wife.
The man retrieved one of his own guns from his truck and shot one of the suspects dead, police said.
The man was not injured, police said. His identity has not been released.
The second kidnapper remains at-large, police said. He is described as 5'9" or 5'10" tall and was last seen in a tan SUV with no tags.
According to WAPT, the shooting is considered justifiable homicide and will be brought to a grand jury.
