Mom Pleads for Help in Search for Missing Nursing Student
She was last seen at her community college.
March 30, 2014 -- Police in Missouri are looking for fresh leads after a 19-year-old nursing student disappeared a week and a half ago.
Bahia Bisharat was last seen on March 19 at St. Charles Community College near St. Louis, and her car was found in the parking lot along with a handwritten note, police say.
"There are no clues. I don't know exactly what happened to her," said her mother, Munira Quader.
Quader said she doesn't believe the note is in her daughter's handwriting, adding that she wouldn't run away. Family members searched a wooded area near the school over the weekend.
"I hope whoever took her to think twice and just be nice and just bring my daughter back," she said.
While she was last seen at the college, she never made it to class, police say. A witness described her as appearing fidgety and nervous.
Her mother said she fears the worst.
"I imagine her screaming and yelling all the time. That's in my head all the time, but I hope she's safe," Quader said.
"We can't rest until we find her," said her brother, Oday Bisharat.
Police have filed several subpoenas, hoping to get access to Bisharat's social media and email accounts.
"I love her so much and I miss her so much," said Quader. I hope she is hearing us now."
