See a Moose on the Loose Through New Hampshire Streets
It was seen jumping over cars and running through yards in Manchester.
-- A moose was spotted running through the streets of Manchester, New Hampshire -- and the sighting was all caught on video.
The animal was seen around the New Hampshire town’s West Side just before 9 a.m. on Sunday, according to ABC affiliate WMUR.
In the video, the moose is seen jumping over cars, running through yards and around street corners.
Manchester residents were surprised and excited to see the footage of the moose’s wild chase, one telling ABC affiliate WCVB, “I think it’s actually pretty funny, watching moose jump over cars and it’s just hilarious.”
“I want that moose. I want to go find the moose and take it home with me,” another resident told WCVB.
Other residents from the area took to Twitter to express their shock.
“I always hope to see a moose in NH...I didn't picture it running through the streets of Manchester, however,” Rebecca Pond tweeted.
Another Twitter user Kyla Robinson wrote: “of course the craziest thing going on in NH today is a moose running through the streets of Manchester.”
Manchester police responded to the area and worked to lead the animal back into the wild.
A couple of hours after the sighting, Police Chief Nick Willard tweeted that the animal was “last seen by officers along the power lines heading safely into the woods of Goffstown.”
The Manchester Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment.
