National Zoo's Giant Baby Panda 'Bei Bei' Plays in the Water
The baby panda was caught on camera cooling off under a water hose.
-- Bei Bei the panda went splish splash under a hose at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Bei Bei, the zoo’s baby giant panda bear, kicked up his paws and appeared to enjoy cooling off with the spray of water in a cute moment captured by a zookeeper.
The National Zoo’s social media account posted the video yesterday. “#BeiBei likes playing in the hose when keepers are cleaning. And it’s adorable.”
Fans of the young panda seem to agree.
The zoo has been keeping panda fans up to date on Bei Bei’s growth -- he’s currently 66 pounds -- and daily activities. The baby panda and his family have a large following on social media.
On August 22, Bei Bei will be celebrating his first birthday.
