5 People Shot During Protest in Minneapolis

Victims' injuries are non-life threatening.

The Police Department said it is working to identify suspects, and asking anyone with information to come forward.

Three of the victims, described as having non-life-threatening injuries, were taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Two additional victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Minneapolis Police Department tweeted early today, "OFCs searching for 3 white male suspects."

Protests have been taking place near the precinct since the Nov. 15 police shooting death of Jamar Clark, a 24-year-old black man.

Authorities have said that Clark was shot during a struggle with police after he interfered with paramedics who were trying to assist an assault victim.

But some people who said they saw the shooting allege that Clark was handcuffed when he was shot.
