Plane Goes Off Runway at Buffalo Niagara International Airport; No Injuries Reported

No injuries were reported in the incident, and the FAA is investigating.

Michael Dena, a passenger on the flight, said the landing left passengers scared.

“When we hit, it just didn’t seem right. The braking seemed very erratic, and the runway was feeling rougher than it normally did,” Dena said.

Anurag Kashya said the plane stopped far beyond the runway.

“By the time we stopped, it was all in the middle of the grass. There was no runway to be seen,” Kashya said.

The flight had originally departed from Washington Dulles International Airport.

In a statement, United Airlines attributed the incident to high winds.

The FAA said it is investigating the incident.
