Reggie Miller's Niece Is Home After Going Missing
The basketball legend shared information about niece on social media.
Sept. 30, 2014 -- Reggie Miller's teenage niece is back home, hours after the former NBA great and TV analyst asked the public for help looking for her when she went missing from her Southern California home.
"Thank you everyone who sent prayers n thoughts, they were answered," Miller wrote.
The five-time NBA All-Star tweeted out a flyer with a photo of the 16-year-old Monday, asking people to reach out to police with any information.
Police investigated the teen's disappearance - even using tracking dogs to look for her - but said they believe she might have been picked up by a car a block away from her Yorba Linda home.
"There was absolutely no evidence or any signs or evidence to lead us to believe this was anything other than a teenage runaway," Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. John Roche said.
There were no signs of forced entry or struggle in the house, Roche said.
"There are some indicators that lead us to believe she had actually set up her room in a manner that would fool someone to believe she was still there," he said.
