3 Wounded in Shooting Near UC Santa Barbara Campus
The shooting comes nearly one year after deadly rampage.
-- A shooting was reported near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus in Isla Vista, California Monday.
Three people were wounded in the shooting, which occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of Sabado Tarde Road following a domestic disturbance, authorities said.
Authorities are still searching for one suspect who fled the scene in a white four-door sedan.
Students had been advised to shelter in place and remain indoors as police searched the area, but those orders were lifted after a person of interest was detained.
Monday’s incident comes nearly a year after a deadly rampage near the campus.
Elliot Rodger, 22, was identified as the killer in the May 23, 2014 attacks, in which Rodger and six others died.
