Musician Gregg Allman wants to stop the production of a movie about his life after a camera assistant was killed during filming earlier this year.

Allman wrote a personal letter to the director and asked that production of “Midnight Rider” be shut down, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“I am writing to you as one human being to another, and appealing to you from my heart,” Allman wrote. “I am asking you from a personal perspective not to go forward.”

Sarah Jones, a camera assistant, was killed during filming in February when she was hit by a train on a small bridge in Georgia. Production was temporarily suspended following the accident. Earlier this week, the film’s star, William Hurt, pulled out of production.
