— -- The following are the U.S. personnel who have been killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom from January to April 2004. All dates reflect when the incidents occurred local time. On May 1, 2003, President Bush declared an end to major combat in Iraq.

• Cpl. Scott M. Vincent, 21, of Bokoshe, Okla., died due to hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Cpl. Joshua S. Wilfong, 22, of Walker, W.Va., died due to hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jason B. Dwelley, 31, of Apopka, Fla., died in Al Anbar province, Iraq, when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device while traveling in a convoy.

• Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Christopher M. Dickerson, 33, of Eastman, Ga., died in Al Anbar province, Iraq, when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device while traveling in a convoy.

• Staff Sgt. Esau G. Patterson Jr., 25, of Ridgeland, S.C., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Staff Sgt. Jeffrey F. Dayton, 27, of Caledonia, Miss., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Sgt. Ryan M. Campbell, 25, of Kirksville, Mo., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Spc. James L. Beckstrand, 27, of Escondido, Calif., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Spc. Justin B. Schmidt, 23, of Bradenton, Fla., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Pfc. Ryan E. Reed, 20, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Pfc. Norman Darling, 29, of Middleboro, Mass., died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Pfc. Jeremy Ricardo Ewing, 22, of Miami, died in Baghdad, Iraq, while part of a dismounted improvised explosive device sweep patrol, when a vehicle approached his unit, and the driver detonated a bomb.

• Sgt. Adam W. Estep, 23, of Campbell, Calif., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade hit his patrol.

• Pfc. Martin W. Kondor, 20, of York, Pa., died in Baqubah, Iraq when an apparent improvised explosive device exploded near his vehicle.

• Sgt. Landis W. Garrison, 23, of Rapids City, Ill., died in Abu Gharb, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries.

• Staff Sgt. Kendall Thomas, 36, of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, died in Baghdad, Iraq, as the result of a vehicle accident.

• Spc. Jacob R. Herring, 21, of Kirkland, Wash., died in Mosul, Iraq, from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device in Talafar, Iraq, struck his vehicle.

• Pfc. Marquis A. Whitaker, 20, of Columbus, Ga., died in Scania, Iraq, after falling from a bridge. His vehicle was hit from behind by a civilian truck and left hanging off the side of the bridge. Whitaker attempted to climb out of the vehicle but fell.

• Staff Sgt. Abraham D. Penamedina, 32, of Los Angeles, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his patrol came under sniper fire.

• Lance Cpl. Aaron C. Austin, 21, of Sunray, Texas, died due to hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Sgt. Sherwood R. Baker, 30, of Plymouth, Pa., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a large explosion occurred while he was performing site security.

• Sgt. Lawrence A. Roukey, 33, of Westbrook, Maine, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a large explosion occurred while he was performing site security.

• Spc. Kenneth A. Melton, 30, of Westplains, Mo., died in Iraq when his military vehicle was hit an improvised explosive device and small arms fire while traveling in a convoy from Baghdad.

• Capt. Arthur L. Felder, 36, of Louisville, Ark., died in Taji, Iraq, when mortar rounds hit his camp.

• Chief Warrant Patrick W. Kordsmeier, 49, of North Little Rock, Ark., died in Taji, Iraq, when mortar rounds hit his camp.

• Staff Sgt. Billy J. Orton, 41, of Humnoke, Ark., died in Taji, Iraq, when mortar rounds hit his camp.

• Staff Sgt. Stacey C. Brandon, 35, of Hazen, Ark., died in Taji, Iraq, when mortar rounds hit the soldier's camp.

• Staff Sgt. Cory W. Brooks, 32, of Philip, S.D., died in Baghdad, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. The incident is under investigation.

• Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Michael J. Pernaselli, 27, of Monroe, N.Y., died in the Northern Persian Gulf as a result of a waterborne attack.

• Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher E. Watts, 28, of Knoxville, Tenn., died in the Northern Persian Gulf as a result of a waterborne attack.

• Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan B. Bruckenthal, 24, of Smithtown, N.Y., died in the Northern Persian Gulf as a result of a waterborne attack.

• Pfc. Shawn C. Edwards, 20, of Bensenville, Ill., died in Samarra, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.

• Cpl. Jason L. Dunham, 22, of Allegany, N.Y., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Spc. Christopher D. Gelineau, 23 of Portland, Maine, died in Mosul, Iraq, when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.

• Pfc. Leroy Harris-Kelly, 20, of Azusa, Calif., died north of Tallil, Iraq, when his truck went off the road and rolled over because of limited visibility and dangerous driving conditions.

• Cpl. Christopher A. Gibson, 23, of Simi Valley, Calif., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Staff Sgt. Edward W. Carmen, 27, of McKeesport, Pa., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when the track of the tank he was in broke, the driver lost control and the tank rolled off the bridge.

• Capt. Richard J. Gannon II, 31, of Escondido, Calif., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Michael J. Smith Jr., 21, of Jefferson, Ohio, died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Ruben Valdez Jr., 21, of San Diego, Texas, died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Gary F. VanLeuven, 20, of Klamath Falls, Ore., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Spc. Marvin A. Camposiles, 25, of Austell, Ga., died in Samarra, Iraq, when he was electrocuted while performing routine generator maintenance.

• 1st Lt. Robert L. Henderson II, 33, of Alvaton, Ky., died in Diwaniyah, Iraq, when his convoy tried to avoid an overturned trailer and came under small arms attack.

• Sgt. Jonathan N. Hartman, 27, of Jacksonville, Fla., died in Dwaniyah, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed.

• Pfc. Clayton W. Henson, 20, of Stanton, Texas, died in Dwaniyah, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed.

• Spc. Dennis B. Morgan, 22, of Valentine, Neb., died in Iskandariyah, Iraq, when his armored personnel carrier hit an improvised explosive device.

• Spc. Michael A. McGlothin, 21, of Milwaukee, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device exploded near his patrol.

• Sgt. Brian M. Wood, 21, of Torrance, Calif., died in Tikrit, Iraq, when his military vehicle pulled off the road and apparently hit a mine while on patrol.

• Staff Sgt. Jimmy J. Arroyave, 30, of Woodland, Calif., died due to a non-combat related vehicle accident northeast of Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

• Spc. Frank K. Rivers Jr., 23, of Woodbridge, Va., died in Mosul, Iraq, when he collapsed during physical training.

• Spc. Richard K. Trevithick, 20, of Gaines, Mich., died in Balad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device exploded near his convoy vehicle.

• Sgt. Christopher Ramirez, 34, of McAllen, Texas, died in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, from injuries sustained during combat operations.

• Staff Sgt. Victor A. Rosaleslomeli, 29, of Westminster, Calif., died in Iraq when an improvised explosive device exploded near his escort vehicle.

• Cpl. Kevin T. Kolm, 23, of Hicksville, N.Y., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Pvt. Noah L. Boye, 21, of Grand Island, Neb., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Brad S. Shuder, 21, of El Dorado, Calif., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Sgt. Maj. Michael B. Stack, 48, of Lake City, S.C., died in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, while his unit was conducting combat operations.

• Pfc. Nathan P. Brown, 21, of South Glens Falls, N.Y., died in Samarra, Iraq, when his patrol was ambushed.

• Chief Warrant Officer Wesley C. Fortenberry, 38, of Woodville, Texas, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his helicopter was shot down.

• Chief Warrant Officer Lawrence S. Colton, 32, of Oklahoma City, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his helicopter was shot down.

• Cpl. Daniel R. Amaya, 22, of Odessa, Texas, died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Torrey L. Gray, 19, of Patoka, Ill., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• 1st Lt. Oscar Jimenez, 34, of San Diego, died due to enemy fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Pfc. George D. Torres, 23, of Long Beach, Calif., died due to enemy fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Sgt. William C. Eckhart, 25, of Rocksprings, Texas, died in Baqubah, Iraq, when he was on an anti-mortar mission and there was an explosion of unknown origin.

• Spc. Justin W. Johnson, 22, of Rome, Ga., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his patrol vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.

• Spc. Adolf C. Carballo, 20, of Houston, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when shrapnel struck him.

• Lance Cpl. John T. Sims Jr., 21, of Alexander City, Ala., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Airman 1st Class Antoine J. Holt, 20, of Kennesaw, Ga., died as a result of injuries sustained when his tent was hit by a mortar round at Balad Air Field, Iraq.

• Sgt. Elmer C. Krause, 40, of Greensboro, N.C., was killed in Iraq when his convoy came under attack by individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire. Initially unaccounted for, Krause's remains were recovered April 23.

• Staff Sgt. Raymond E. Jones Jr., 31, of Gainesville, Fla., died in Bayji, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck him while on patrol.

• Spc. Allen J. Vandayburg, 20, of Mansfield, Ohio, died in Barez, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his vehicle.

• Staff Sgt. Toby W. Mallet, 26, of Kaplan, La., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his patrol vehicle.

• Pfc. Gregory R. Goodrich, 37, of Bartonville, Ill., died in Iraq when his convoy came under attack by individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire.

• Spc. Peter G. Enos, 24, of South Dartmouth, Mass., died in Bayji, Iraq, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his patrol vehicle.

• Staff Sgt. Don S. McMahan, 31, of Nashville, Tenn., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire attacked his convoy.

• Spc. Michelle M. Witmer, 20, of New Berlin, Wis., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when she became involved in an improvised explosive device and small arms attack.

• Capt. Brent L. Morel, 27, of Martin, Tenn., died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Sgt. 1st Class Marvin L. Miller, 38, of Dunn, N.C., died in Balad, Iraq, when he was shot while on traffic control duty.

• Staff Sgt. George S. Rentschler, 31, of Louisville, Ky., died in Baghdad when his military vehicle was hit with a rocket-propelled grenade.

• Spc. Tyanna S. Felder, 22, of Bridgeport, Conn., died in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained on April 4 in Mosul when her convoy vehicle was hit with an improvised explosive device.

• Sgt. Lee D. Todacheene, 29, of Farmington, N.M., died in Balad, Iraq, when mortar fire hit his guard post.

• Petty Officer 3rd Class Fernando A. Mendezaceves, 27, of Ponce, Puerto Rico, was killed in Iraq while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province.

• Pfc. Geoffery S. Morris, 19, of Gurnee, Ill., died due to injuries received from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Emad Mikha, 44, of Sterling Heights, Mich., died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq. The cause of his death was unknown.

• Lance Cpl. Aric J. Barr, 22, of Allegheny, Pa., died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Pfc. William R. Strange, 19, of Adrian, Ga., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated where he was setting up an observation point.

• Pfc. Dustin M. Sekula, 18, of Edinburg, Texas, died due to injuries sustained from enemy fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• 1st Lt. Doyle M. Hufstedler, 25, of Abilene, Texas, died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his armored personnel carrier.

• Spc. Sean R. Mitchell, 24, of Youngsville, Pa., died in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his armored personnel carrier.

• Pfc. Sean M. Schneider, 22, of Janesville, Wis., died as the result of a vehicle accident near Baghdad, Iraq.

• Master Sgt. Timothy Toney, 37, of New York, died due to a noncombat-related incident at Camp Wolverine, Kuwait.

• Pfc. Leroy Sandoval Jr., 21, of Houston, died due to hostile fire in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

• Lance Cpl. Jeffrey C. Burgess, 20, of Plymouth, Mass., died due to enemy action near Al Fallujah, Iraq.

• Spc. Adam D. Froehlich, 21, of Pine Hill, N. J., died in Baqubah, Iraq, from injuries sustained when his patrol came under an IED attack.

• SSgt. Wentz Jerome Henry Shanaberger III, 33, of Naples, Fla., died in Iraq when he was investigating a suspicious vehicle and came under attack by individuals using small arms and an improvised explosive device.

• Lance Cpl. Andrew S. Dang, 20, of Foster City, Calif., died due to hostile fire near Ar Ramady, Iraq.

• Pfc. Bruce Miller, Jr., 23, of Orange, N.J., died in Mosul, Iraq, of noncombat-related injuries.

• Pfc. Christopher E. Hudson, 21, of Carmel, Ind., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his military vehicle was hit with an improvised explosive device.

• Pvt. Dustin L. Kreider, 19, of Riverton, Kan., died near Samarra, Iraq, during a unit weapon test-firing incident.

• Maj. Mark D. Taylor, 41, of Stockton, Calif., died in Fallujah, Iraq, when his living area came under a rocket attack.

• Spc. Matthew J. Sandri, 24, of Shamokin, Pa., died in Fallujah, Iraq, when his living area came under a rocket attack.

• 1st Lt. Michael W. Vega, 41, of Lathrop, Calif., died at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, D.C., from injuries sustained when his military vehicle rolled over in Diwaniyah, Iraq, on March 11.

• Spc. Clint Richard Matthews, 31, of Bedford, Pa., died in Baji, Iraq, from injuries sustained when his Bradley Fighting Vehicle went over a 60-foot embankment and flipped over on March 17.

• Pfc. Jason C. Ludlam, 22, of Arlington, Texas, died in Ba'qubah, Iraq, when he was electrocuted while laying telephone wires.

• Cpl. David M. Vicente, 25, of Methuen, Mass., died due to enemy action near Hit, Iraq.

• Spec. Doron Chan, 20, of Highland, N.Y., died near Balad, Iraq, when his convoy vehicle was cut off by a civilian vehicle. The military vehicle swerved, crossed into oncoming traffic, and flipped over.

• Pfc. Brandon C. Smith, 20, of Washington, Ark., died as a result of enemy action in Al Qaim, Iraq.

• Pfc. Ernest Harold Sutphin, 21, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died in Landstuhl, Germany, from injuries sustained in a vehicle incident in Kirkuk, Iraq, on March 11.

• Cpl. Andrew D. Brownfield, 24, of Summit, Ohio, died due to wounds received from an enemy mortar attack at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq.

• Sgt. Ivory L. Phipps, 44, of Chicago, died in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a mortar attack.

• Spc. Tracy L. Laramore, 30, of Okaloosa, Fla., died in Baji, Iraq, of injuries sustained when his Bradley Fighting Vehicle went over an embankment and flipped over in the river.

• First Lieutenant Michael R. Adams, 24, of Seattle, died in Al Asad, Iraq, when the barrel of the .50-caliber weapon mounted on his tank struck him.

• Master Sgt. Thomas R. Thigpen Sr., 52, of Augusta, Ga., died in Camp Virginia, Kuwait (north of Kuwait City), of non-combat related injuries.

• Sgt. William J. Normandy, 42, of Augusta, Ga., died in Camp Virginia, Iraq (north of Kuwait City), of non-combat related injuries.

• Staff Sgt. Clint D. Ferrin, 31, of Picayune, Miss., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his military vehicle.

• Sgt. Daniel J. Londono, 22, of Boston, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his military vehicle.

• Pfc. Joel K. Brattain, 21, of Santa Anna, Calif., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his military vehicle.

• Capt. John F. Kurth, 31, of Wisconsin, died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his military vehicle.

• Spc. Jason C. Ford, 21, of Bowie, Md., died in Tikrit, Iraq, when his patrol encountered an improvised explosive device.

• Spc. Jocelyn L. Carrasquillo, 28, of Wrightsville Beach, N.C., died on the main supply route in Iraq when an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle.

• Staff Sgt. Joe L. Dunigan Jr., 37, of Belton, Texas, died in Fallujah, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device.

• Spc. Christopher K. Hill, 26, of Ventura, Calif., died in Fallujah, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device.

• Pfc. Bert. E. Hoyer, 23, of Ellsworth, Wis., died in Baqubah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his convoy.

• Sgt. 1st Class Richard S. Gottfried, 42, of Lake Ozark, Mo., died in Tampa, Iraq, when struck by an improvised explosive device.

• Spc. Edward W. Brabazon, 20, of Philadelphia, died in Baghdad, Iraq, of a non-hostile gunshot wound.

• Fern L. Holland, 33, died in Al-Hillah, Iraq. The incident is under investigation.

• Robert J. Zangas, 44, of Prince William County, Va., died in Al-Hillah, Iraq. The incident is under investigation.

• Pfc. Matthew G. Milczark, 18, of Kettle River, Minn., died due to a non-combat related incident at Camp Victory, Kuwait.

• Capt. Gussie M. Jones, 41, of Louisiana, died in Baghdad, Iraq, as a result of a non-combat cause.

• Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael J. Gray, 32, of Richmond, Va., was killed in an automobile accident in Kuwait. Gray was traveling to Kuwait Navy Base when his vehicle was struck from the rear by a civilian vehicle.

• Spc. Michael R. Woodliff, 22, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy.

• Chief Warrant Officer Stephen M. Wells, 29, of Massachusetts, died in Habbinayah, Iraq, when the OH-58 helicopter in which he was flying crashed.

• Chief Warrant Officer Matthew C. Laskowski, 32, of Phoenix, Ariz., died in Habbinayah, Iraq, when the OH-58 helicopter in which he was flying crashed.

• Sgt. 1st Class Henry A. Bacon, 45, of Wagram, N.C., died in Ad Dujayl, Iraq, when he was struck by a recovery vehicle while he was assisting a disabled vehicle.

• 2nd Lt. Jeffrey C. Graham, 24, of Elizabethtown, Ky., died of injuries sustained from small arms fire and an improvised explosive device attack.

• Spc. Roger G. Ling, 20, of Douglaston, N.Y., died of injuries sustained from small arms fire and an improvised explosive device attack.

• Spc. Christopher M. Taylor, 25, of Daphne, Ala., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy.

• Pfc. Nichole M. Frye, 19, of Lena, Wis., died in Baqubah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck her convoy.

• Spc. Michael M. Merila, 23, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., died in Talifar, Iraq, when his convoy was hit by an improvised explosive device.

• Pvt. Bryan N. Spry, 19, of Chestertown, Md., died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his vehicle rolled into a water-filled ditch.

• Spc. Eric U. Ramirez, 31, of San Diego, died in Abu Gireb, Iraq, when he was attacked by small arms fire, a rocket-propelled grenade and an improvised explosive device.

• Sgt. Patrick S. Tainsh, 33, of Oceanside, Calif., was killed when an improvised explosive device struck the soldiers while they were on a mounted patrol in Baghdad, Iraq.

• Pfc. William C. Ramirez, 19, of Portland, Ore., was killed when an improvised explosive device struck the soldiers while they were on a mounted patrol in Baghdad, Iraq.

• Master Sgt. Jude C. Mariano, 39, of Vallejo, Calif., died in Doha, Qatar. He died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

• Sgt. Thomas D. Robbins, 27, of Schenectady, N.Y. was killed in Sinjar, Iraq, when a collection of unexploded ordnance, rocket-propelled grenades and mortar rounds detonated while being moved to a demolition point.

• Sgt. Elijah Tai Wah Wong, 42, of Mesa, Ariz., was killed in Sinjar, Iraq, when a collection of unexploded ordnance, rocket-propelled grenades and mortar rounds detonated while being moved to a demolition point.

• Staff Sgt. Richard P. Ramey, 27, of Canton, Ohio, died in Mahmudiyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated.

• Spc. Joshua L. Knowles, 23, of Sheffield, Iowa, died

in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was hit by a mortar round at a Baghdad International Airport checkpoint.

• 2nd Lt. Seth J. Dvorin, 24, of New Jersey, died in Iskandariyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device exploded while he was conducting counter-IED operations along a supply route.

• Staff Sgt. Roger C. Turner Jr., 37, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died in Anaconda, Iraq. Turner was in his sleeping quarters when the logistical support area came under mortar attack. He died as a result of his injuries.

• Pfc. Armando Soriano, 20, of Houston, died in Haditha, Iraq. Soriano was traveling in a two-vehicle convoy on a supply route when weather conditions caused his vehicle to slide off the road and roll over. He died as a result of his injuries.

• Sgt. Eliu A. Miersandoval, 27, of San Clemente, Calif., was killed when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device during convoy operations in Kirkuk, Iraq.

• Cpl. Juan C. Cabralbanuelos, 25, of Emporia, Kan., was killed when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device during convoy operations in Kirkuk, Iraq.

• Pfc. Holly J. McGeogh, 19, of Taylor, Mich., was killed when her vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device during convoy operations in Kirkuk, Iraq.

• Pfc. Luis A. Moreno, 19, of Bronx, N.Y., died at the Lakenheath Medical Treatment Facility, United Kingdom. Moreno was shot on Jan. 23 while he was guarding a gas station in Baghdad, Iraq. He later died of his injuries.

• Staff Sgt. Sean G. Landrus, 31, of Thompson, Ohio, died at the 28th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq. He died as a result of injuries sustained on Jan. 27 when a roadside improvised explosive device exploded in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

• Staff Sgt. Christopher Bunda, 29, of Washington, was originally listed as Duty Status Whereabouts Unknown when his boat capsized during a river patrol on the Tigris River on Jan. 25. His remains were recovered Feb. 10.

• Capt. Matthew J. August, 28, of Rhode Island, was killed in an improvised explosive device attack in Khalidiyah, just east of Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

• Sgt. 1st Class James T. Hoffman, 41, of Whitesburg, Ky., was killed in an improvised explosive device attack in Khalidiyah, just east of Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

• Sgt. Travis A. Moothart, 23, of Brownsville, Ore., was killed in an improvised explosive device attack in Khalidiyah, just east of Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

• 2nd Lt. Luke S. James, 24, of Oklahoma, was killed in an improvised explosive device attack near Iskandariyah, Iraq.

• Staff Sgt. Lester O. Kinney II, 27, of Zanesville, Ohio, was killed in an improvised explosive device attack near Iskandariyah, Iraq.

• Sgt. Cory R. Mracek, 26, of Hay Springs, Neb., was killed in an improvised explosive device attack near Iskandariyah, Iraq.

• Chief Warrant Officer Patrick Dorff, 32, of Minnesota, was killed when his helicopter went down in the Tigris River during a search after four soldiers' watercraft capsized. His remains were recovered Jan. 29.

• 1st Lt. Adam G. Mooney, 28, of Cambridge, Md., was killed when his helicopter went down in the Tigris River during a search for a missing soldier. On Feb. 14, his remains were recovered.

• Sgt. Keith L. Smette, 25, of Fargo, N.D., died as a result of his injuries after the convoy he was in was attacked with an improvised explosive device north of Fallujah, Iraq.

• Staff Sgt. Kenneth W. Hendrickson, 41, of Bismarck, N.D., died as a result of his injuries after the convoy he was in was attacked with an improvised explosive device north of Fallujah, Iraq.

• Spc. Jason K. Chappell, 22, of Hemet, Calif., was killed when a vehicle-based improvised explosive device detonated in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

• Spc. William R. Sturges Jr., 24, of Spring Church, Pa., was killed when a vehicle-based improvised explosive device detonated in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

• Sgt. Randy S. Rosenberg, 23, of Berlin, N.H., was killed when a vehicle-based improvised explosive device detonated in Khalidiyah, Iraq.

• Pfc. Ervin Dervishi, 21, of Fort Worth, Texas, died in Baji, Iraq, during a combat patrol when a rocket-propelled grenade hit the Bradley Fighting Vehicle in which he was traveling. He was evacuated to the 28th Combat Support Hospital where he later died.

• Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Michael T. Blaise, 29, of Tennessee, was killed when his OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter crashed on its way back from a combat mission near Mosul in northern Iraq.

• Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Brian D. Hazelgrove, 29, of Fort Rucker, Ala., was killed when his OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter crashed on its way back from a combat mission near Mosul in northern Iraq.

• Spc. Gabriel T. Palacios, 22, of Lynn, Mass., was killed in a mortar attack on a forward operating base near Ba'qubah.

• Pfc. James D. Parker, 20, of Bryan, Texas, was killed in a mortar attack on a forward operating base near Ba'qubah, Iraq.

• Master Sgt. Kelly L. Hornbeck, 36, of Fort Worth, Texas, died of wounds at 28th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq. On Jan. 16, Hornbeck sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle south of Samarra, Iraq.

• Pfc. Cody J. Orr, 21, of Ruskin, Fla., was killed north of Taji, Iraq. He was one of three soldiers killed while conducting a surveillance sweep north of Baghdad when their Bradley Fighting Vehicle struck an improvised explosive device and overturned.

• Spc. Larry E. Polley Jr., of Center, Texas, was killed north of Taji, Iraq. He was one of three soldiers killed while conducting a surveillance sweep north of Baghdad when their Bradley Fighting Vehicle struck an improvised explosive device and overturned.

• Sgt. Edmond L. Randle, 26, of Miami, was killed north of Taji, Iraq. He was one of three soldiers killed while conducting a surveillance sweep north of Baghdad when their Bradley Fighting Vehicle struck an improvised explosive device and overturned.

• Staff Sgt. Roland L. Castro, 26, of San Antonio, died in Camp Cedar II, Iraq, of a non-hostile gunshot wound.

• Sgt. Keicia M. Hines, 27, of Citrus Heights, Calif., died when she was struck by a vehicle on Mosul Airfield in Mosul, Iraq.

• Staff Sgt. Ricky L. Crockett, 37, of Broxton, Ga., was killed in Baghdad, Iraq. He was struck by an improvised explosive device while on a mounted patrol.

• Sgt. Jeffrey C. Walker, 33, of Havre de Grace, Md., was killed in Fallujah, Iraq. Walker was onboard a UH-60 when it crashed while on a MEDEVAC mission.

• Staff Sgt. Craig Davis, 37, of Opelousas, La., was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Chief Warrant Officer Philip A. Johnson Jr., 31, of Alabama, was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Chief Warrant Officer Ian D. Manuel, 23, of Florida, was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Chief Warrant Officer Aaron A. Weaver, 32, of Florida, was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Spc. Michael A. Diraimondo, 22, of Simi Valley, Calif., was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Sgt. 1st Class Gregory B. Hicks, 35, of Duff, Tenn., was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Spc. Nathaniel H. Johnson, 22, of Augusta, Ga., was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Spc. Christopher A. Golby, 26, of Johnstown, Pa., was killed in a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq.

• Pfc. Jesse D. Mizener, 24, of Auburn, Calif., was killed in Baghdad, Iraq. Mizener was killed when a mortar round hit the Logistics Base.

• Spc. Luke P. Frist, 20, of West Lafayette, Ind., died of wounds at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Frist was part of a convoy that was struck with an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq.

• Capt. Eric T. Paliwoda, 28, of Texas, was killed in Balad, Iraq, when his command post came under mortar attack. He died of injuries sustained in the attack.

• Capt. Kimberly N. Hampton, 27, of Easley, S.C., was killed in Fallujah, Iraq. Hampton was the pilot on a Kiowa OH-58 Observation Helicopter when it was shot down by enemy ground fire and crashed. Hampton died as a result of her injuries.

• Spc. Solomon C. Bangayan, 24, of Jay, Vt., was killed in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed by the enemy who used an improvised explosive device, small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade.

• Spc. Marc S. Seiden, 26, of Brigantine, N.J., was killed in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed by the enemy who used an improvised explosive device, small arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade.

• Sgt. Dennis A. Corral, 33, of Kearney, Neb., died in Baghdad, Iraq. He was in a convoy going to the Baghdad International Airport when his vehicle went out of control and rolled over.
