Super Bowl 50: Cam Newton Dons Gold-Accented, Zebra-Stripe Pants
The Carolina Panthers quarterback made a bold fashion choice.
-- Cam Newton may soon be wearing a Super Bowl ring but on his way to this Sunday’s Super Bowl 50 game, the Carolina Panthers quarterback stood out for wearing zebra-stripe pants.
Newton, 26, was spotted in the pants - complete with gold accents - as he and his teammates left North Carolina for Santa Clara, Calif. The Panthers will face the Denver Broncos in the championship game at Levi’s Stadium.
A similar-looking pair of pants that sold for $975 on eBay are identified as Versace Digital Barocco Jeans. A pair of Barocco Accent Print Jeans with a different print than the ones worn by Newton are currently listed on the Versace website for $1,545.
Versace did not reply to ABC News’ request for comment.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning traveled to California on Sunday in decidedly less flashy fare than his competitor.
The Broncos tweeted a photo of Manning in an orange tie and blue suit, complete with a pocket square, as he and his teammates prepared to board their flight.
