Suspect Accused of Shooting Idaho Pastor Arrested in Washington, DC

— -- The suspect accused of shooting an Idaho pastor six times over the weekend was arrested in Washington, D.C. Tuesday after allegedly throwing papers over the White House Fence, a law enforcement source told ABC News.
The incident occurred along the south fence of the White House around 8:30 p.m. The items are being regarded as "suspicious items" as the U.S. Secret Service evaluate them, the source said. But in a statement released late Tuesday by the U.S. Secret Service, the agency said the items were non-hazardous.
Flash drives may have been among the items thrown over the fence, according to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department in Idaho.
The suspect, identified by the Coeur d'Alene Police Department as Kyle Andrew Odom, was tracked down via social media before he was arrested, according to the law enforcement source. The 30-year-old is being held on an extraditable attempted murder warrant out of Idaho.
The FBI was alerted to the possibility that Odom may be in the area shortly before he was arrested, Coeur d'Alene Police Chief Lee White in a press conference Tuesday night.
The pastor, Tim Remington, led the prayer at a campaign rally for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz Saturday, the Associated Press reported.
Odom boarded a plane in Idaho on Monday with an outstanding warrant for attempted murder in the first degree and flew to the Washington, D.C. area, according to Coeur d'Alene Police. He was not armed when he was apprehended, White said.
Remington had regained consciousness Monday night, AP reported.
