Tanker Truck Crash Sends Flames Shooting Into the Sky
The truck driver received second and third-degree burns from the fire.
-- A tanker truck collided with a utility truck in St. Petersburg, Florida, early today, causing a fuel leak and fire that sent flames shooting into the sky.
After fuel from the tanker truck leaked and ignited, thick black smoke billowed, followed by a ball of flames.
According to ABC affiliate WFTS, the tanker was carrying about 10,000 gallons of fuel.
The tanker truck driver received second and third-degree burns, according to WFTS, and was taken to Tampa General Hospital’s Burn Unit.
