1. Isaac Makes Second Landfall, Levee Overtops

Hurricane Isaac made a second landfall early Wednesday morning, while officials in Plaquemines Parish reported "overtopping of a levee from Braithwaite to White Ditch," according to The National Weather Service. The storm has stalled just west of New Orleans where it will remain for the next 18 hours.

2. Over 400K Homes in Louisiana Without Power

More than 400,000 homes and businesses in Southern Louisiana are currently without power, according to Entergy New Orleans. In just about an hour, that number rose by more than 60,000.

3. 51 Percent of Voters View Romney Unfavorably: Poll

According to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, 40 percent of registered voters view Mitt Romney favorably overall, while 51 percent view him unfavorably. Romney accepted the Republican nomination for president with the lowest personal popularity of any major-party nominee dating to Ronald Reagan's presidency.

4. Calif. Salmonella-tainted Mango Outbreak Investigated

Health officials in California are investigating a food borne illness outbreak associated with salmonella-tainted mangoes. The mangoes have sickened 73 people.

5. Will.i.am Debuts New Single From Mars

Will.i.am has debuts his new single from Mars. The NASA rover curiosity beamed his new song "Reach for the Stars" to Earth on Tuesday.
