2. Meteorite Blast Breaks Windows in Russia

Scientists say a meteor has fallen in a Russian town nearly 1,000 miles from Moscow. Witnesses say they heard big explosions, saw a very bright flash and glass windows shatter.

3. 'Blade Runner' in Court on Murder Charges

Olympian Oscar Pistorius will face a judge in South Africa today after he was arrested and charged with killing his model girlfriend. Pistorius says it was an accident and he thought she was an intruder.

4. Christopher Dorner Confirmed Dead in Autopsy

Christopher Dorner, the ex-Los Angeles police officer who declared himself on a killing spree against his former law enforcement colleagues, has been confirmed dead. Authorities confirmed Thursday evening that the remains found after a standoff in Big Bear, Calif., were Dorner's.

5. Sumatran Tiger Gives Birth in Calif.

A rare Sumatran tiger has given birth to a cub at the San Francisco Zoo, giving a boost to the critically endangered species. There are only an estimated 400 Sumatran tigers in the wild.
