1. Tornadoes Rip Through North Texas

At least six people were killed, 14 missing and dozens more injured after tornadoes ripped through parts of North Texas. More than 100 homes were destroyed and the death toll could climb.

2. Acting IRS Chief Resigns, Obama Condemns Agency

President Obama announced Wednesday that the Internal Revenue Service acting commissioner Steven Miller has submitted his resignation. Congress and the Justice Department continue probes into the targeting of tea party groups.

3. Powerball Jackpot Swells to $475M

The Powerball jackpot has soared to $475 million after no tickets matched Wednesday night's drawing. The $475 million jackpot ranks as the second-largest for Powerball and third biggest overall. The cash option is an estimated $302.4 million. The next drawing is Saturday night.

4. Kabul Car Bomb Kills 2 NATO Troops

Two NATO servicemen and four civilian contractors were killed in a suicide car bomb attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, The Associated Press reports.

5. Millions Flee as Cyclone Hits Bangladesh

More than 4.1 million people fled ahead of an Asian cyclone. The storm began battering the coast of Bangladesh today, but passed over major population centers and did far less damage than feared.
