1. McCain Meets With Rebels in Syria
Sen. John McCain entered Syria yesterday with Gen. Salim Idris, leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army. McCain met with the Syrian opposition that's calling for more support from the U.S. with a no-fly zone, airstrikes to the Syrian regime and heavy weaponry.
2. Man Charged in Chicago Baby Slaying
Koman Willis, the Chicago man who allegedly killed a six-month old baby and wounded her father in a drive-by shooting three months ago, has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery.
3. Obama, Christie Together Again in NJ
President Obama returns to New Jersey today for a post-Sandy check-up, meeting with Gov. Chris Christie and touring the beach communities devastated by the storm.
4. US F-15 Fighter Crashes in Pacific
A U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter crashed off the coast of Okinawa earlier today when the aircraft began to develop problems mid-flight. The cause is under investigation.
5. Cruise Ship Passengers Headed Home
The passengers of Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas will be sent home today following the fire that broke out on the cruise ship Monday morning.
